About Sabrina

Sabrina Espinoza is a seasoned leader in mental health, grief support/coaching, and community
impact with a passion for helping individuals and organizations navigate loss with resilience and
purpose. She is Co-Founder of Grief, Together, where she leads strategy, program development,
and coaching initiatives that expand access to compassionate, evidence-informed grief support.
Previously, she served as Director of Outreach at Bo’s Place, driving significant growth,
strengthening partnerships, and positioning the organization as a regional leader in grief support.


Sabrina holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado
State University and is certified in mental health coaching. Her professional background includes
leadership roles in outreach, human resources, recruiting, and alumni relations, complemented by
deep experience in volunteer development and nonprofit growth.


A dedicated community leader, Sabrina has served for over two decades at First Presbyterian
Church, Houston in numerous roles, including Elder, Stephen Minister and Leader, and Interim
Director of Children and Family Ministry. She is also actively involved in philanthropy, having
led and chaired major fundraising initiatives across multiple organizations.


Sabrina lives in Houston with her husband Leo of 32 years, and they have three children. When
not teaching, reading and studying grief and mental health, you will find her engaging with
people who need support and reassurance with her therapy dog, Skye who further extends care
and connection.
