About Jennifer
For more than three decades, Jennifer has helped organizations develop leaders, strengthen culture, and create workplaces where people thrive. She began her career as an industrial engineer before moving into leadership development, organizational culture, and executive coaching. Her work has spanned Fortune 500 companies, nonprofit organizations, financial services, retail, healthcare, and other industries, partnering with leaders to build healthy cultures where people feel valued, connected, and equipped to do their best work.
It was through this work that Jennifer discovered a common thread. Regardless of industry, title, or circumstance, every organization, and every person, is shaped by loss. While leaders wanted to care well for employees, coworkers wanted to support one another, and friends wanted to help, few felt equipped to know what to say or do. Jennifer realized that some of the most defining moments in a culture don't happen during seasons of success, they happen during seasons of grief.
Together with her longtime friend and co-founder, Sabrina Espinoza, Jennifer launched Grief, Together to equip individuals, workplaces, schools, churches, and communities to respond to grief with greater confidence, compassion, and hope. Their work extends beyond the death of a loved one to include the many losses people experience throughout life; relationships, careers, health, identity, dreams, life transitions, and countless other experiences that reshape our lives.
Jennifer believes grief is one of the few experiences every person will share. While every story of loss is unique, grief itself is universal. It reminds us of our shared humanity and creates opportunities for empathy, understanding, and connection that transcend our differences. In a world that often feels divided, learning to walk alongside one another through loss has the power to build unexpected relationships, strengthen communities, and remind us that we were never meant to grieve alone.
Through speaking, consulting, workshops, and practical resources, Jennifer helps people replace uncertainty with understanding and awkwardness with meaningful presence. She believes that when we become more intentional about noticing who around us is grieving—and more confident in walking alongside them—we don't just help individuals heal. We strengthen families, transform workplaces, deepen friendships, and create communities where people truly belong.
Jennifer's greatest hope is simple: that together, we can change how the world walks with loss.
